🎨 Young Kids' Studio Drawing Classes

Welcome back to the studio! Our first class after summer break starts on Sunday, September 13, 2026. New students are always welcome to join mid-month.

We offer a relaxed, creative studio space tailored for younger kids to discover drawing. Each week features a specific project chosen by the instructor. To keep classes fun and relatable, our subjects are usually cartoon-, character-, or toy-based rather than traditional still-life art.

💰 Class Investment & Details

• Cost: $140.00 + GST per child (All art supplies are included)
• Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (1-hour weekly sessions)
• Schedule: 4-week blocks, attended on a month-to-month basis
• Sibling Discount: Available for immediate families only (not applicable for friends)

Instructors: Danielle Bartlette , Hannah Henry (Danielle will be the primary instructor through fall/winter 2026/27).

🖌️ How Our Classes Work

• Project-Based Learning: Each week focuses on a specific drawing project. Lessons are designed for young artists to build basic skills like sketching and shading through our fun weekly themes.
• Artistic Freedom: Every student creates their own unique version of the project. We encourage personal expression, creativity, and socializing with peers rather than strict perfection.
• Instructor Support: Our teachers are always on hand to guide techniques, support student ideas, and help them bring their drawings to life.
• Note for Parents: Drawing is much cleaner than painting, but please send your child in comfortable clothes ready for making art.

🗓️ Flexible Enrollment & Payments

• Mid-Month Starts: You can register online and start at any point. You simply pay for your initial 4 weeks.
• Initial 4-Week Commitment: You pay in full for your first 4 weeks up front. There is no long-term obligation beyond this initial paid period.
• Continuing Onward: If your child chooses to continue past those first 4 weeks, your fees will be prorated to align with our standard monthly calendar. At that point, their spot automatically rolls over and our standard withdrawal policy applies.

📋 Studio Policies

• Experience: Open to all skill levels; no prior art experience is required.
• Rollover Spot: Your child's spot automatically rolls over each month so you don't lose their space.
• Withdrawal Notice: Once you transition to the ongoing month-to-month schedule, we require 1 month's advance notice to withdraw so we have time to open the spot to a new student.
• Payment Schedule: Ongoing monthly fees are due during the last class of the prior month (e.g., April tuition is due the last week of March). Online registration handles your first month, and direct e-transfer to the instructor is preferred for the months following as they maintain their own classes.
• Refunds & Missed Classes: Fees are non-refundable after registration. Make-up sessions for missed classes are only possible if the instructor has an open spot in another ongoing class.
• Teacher Cancellations: If a class is cancelled by the instructor due to an emergency or illness, you will receive a future class credit or a qualified substitute teacher will run the session.
• Late Pick-Up Fee: A $10.00 late fee applies if a parent is 15 minutes late for pick-up, plus $1.00 for every additional minute.
