How do I get started in YOUTH AND ADULT ART CLASSES?

Can start any time! Joining mid-month? Yes, it’s easy to register through our website. Our regular session programs run from September to end of June so you can jump in anytime between those months. Initial registration is attended and paid for 4 consecutive weeks, then fees are pro-rated month to month afterwards.

Once you’ve registered, we will anticipate your arrival the very next class but you can reach out to the instructor if you need to start ie: following week or first date in the following month. Classes are to be taken consecutively once weekly.

if you or your child want to continue art classes after initial start month then a spot is automatically held. There is no obligation to attend after the initial 4 week month, however we do ask for a month’s notice to exit the art class if continuing after initial month please and thanks.

Some classes have supplies included and some don’t , it will be mentioned in the class description.

Why do you ask for a month’s notice to exit YOUTH & ADULT ART CLASSES?

We allow for participants to keep their space in the class month-to-month without worrying if they will lose their spot. When we have exit notice, it give us necessary time to refigure the class or try to fill the space.

We are just a one-room art studio and so we don’t have multi-classes running at once.

How do I pay?

Initially we ask new YOUTH ART CLASSES registrants to book through our website registration so that we have all the necessary info, etc. After which (if returning) you can pay your instructor directly via e-transfer each month.

ADULTS ART CLASS participants can book initially online or e-transfer from the start, for e-transfer details you will get that from your instructor.

WORKSHOPS, BIRTHDAYS, EVENTS can be paid through website registration or e-transfer, if e-transfer please speak with Danielle first to be sure there is space in class etc.

ART CAMPS we prefer the website registration as there is form to fill out.

Cash payments are accepted but will need to be paid prior to class/event date etc. to reserve spot.

Can I make up for missed classes/ refunds?

No refunds for missed classes, workshops, art camps, or events.

If an instructor has similar classes in another time slot , you could ask to switch time-slots for a week or double-up but we don’t offer make-up classes in lieu of a paid spot ie: you can’t just make it up in the next month

ART CAMPS AND CLASSES can only be refunded by way of credit if there is a camp/class cancellation by Neon Milkshake Art Studio or payment may be refunded if there is a waitlist for the camp/class that’s been registered for, minus admin fees.

In any of the classes we offer, if an instructor is sick or has an emergency, credit will be offered in the amount that was not used up, so long as it is with the same instructor.

Are there YOUTH & ADULT ART CLASSES on during the summer months?

There are KIDS AND TEEN ART CAMP programs running through the summer months of July and August. so ADULT ART CLASSES are on pause July August, and resume in Sept. The after-school programs also pause for the summer. Evening and weekend class schedules may vary during those months.

Why do some classes offer supplies included and some not?

We include supplies for kids classes because with student-grade supplies being used, we can easily gauge the kids supply usage and cost. When a participant is older/more advanced, better quality materials are required more often for better outcome of their unique projects.

Who do I need to speak with to get answers about specific classes?

My mobile phone (Danielle Bartlette) is the business number 403.200.5760 and I can answer most questions for you about classes. Email is at neonmilkshake.yyc@gmail.com

However, If you want to dig into specifics of a particular class (ask about projects? how many kids in class currently? Is my kid well-suited? DO I need supplies?) then I would suggest reaching out directly to the instructor. All instructors info are in their class description including mobile and email.

Do you take walk-in clients for ART CLASSES?

Well..no . Sometimes we can get you in the same day but it’s always necessary to call ahead. Most of our classes are multi-day.

If we have an open space in an ART CAMP on the day of, room for one more kid at a BIRTHDAY PARTY, or an EVENT has availability, then last minute registrations works fine, however the ongoing YOUTH & ADULT ART CLASSES are better suited for pre-pay month to month type of registration.

How do I address my concerns?

I always appreciate direct communication if you feel your expectations are not being met, please reach out to Danielle if there are any concerns please and thank you! neonmilkshake.yyc@gmail.com

Do you need experience to take ART CLASSES?

No not at all.
