Artist Profile

Char Crewson is a visual artist based in Calgary, currently pursuing a BFA in Drawing and Printmaking at Alberta University of the Arts. Working primarily in graphite drawings, Char’s practice is rooted in the visual portrayal of narrative and archival operations, and is inspired especially by prairie imagery.

Char has found much love for storytelling through art-making and community based practice, and in the process has familiarized herself with various forms of drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and curation. Outside of her art ventures, she loves birdwatching, hosting dinner parties with friends, and book boxes!
