About Katelyn Wigmore
KATELYN WIGMORE Bio
I am an artist from Vancouver Island attending my fourth year at Alberta University of the Arts,
as well as previously studying a semester at Laguna College of Art of Design in 2023. I work primarily in mixed media. My work deals with themes such as gender, humour, and vintage aesthetics. I started off making art at a young age in a studio very similar to Neon Milkshake and then developed my love for visual arts more over time. I began creating art with acrylic painting mostly, creating more representational works and then shifting into oil painting as I developed my skillset more. After working so traditional I’ve now taken a turn in my art practice towards more alternative ways of making such as fibre, installation, and collage.
