''I have loved art for as long as I can remember but only recently, since retiring, found the time and energy to devote to it. I took my first art class with Danielle about 4 years ago and was hooked on abstract art. I love how it engages your imagination and that there are really no rules – whatever you want to experiment and play with is fine. Of course, as in science, some experiments turn out better than others, but that is half the fun. It is always a bit of a discovery as I never really know what I am going to end up with until I arrive at the end.
Most recently I have been experimenting with and learning about fluid painting. I am fascinated by the mixing and flow of the colors into intricate patterns and new colors. I am learning not to get too attached to anything I see happening on the canvass because five minutes later it will likely be quite different. Rather, “go with the flow”, and enjoy the process of creating something unexpected.
