Painting makes me feel alive and brings me such joy. I love the whole creative process, starting from finding my inspiration through photography, drawing it onto canvas and then making it come to life in layers through paint. I am inspired by mother nature every day, whether it be intriguing cloud patterns, colourful skylines, tropical beaches, striking trees and captivating mountains. I like to use a picture as a reference and then create a whole new world through my paintings using bright and rich colours. Travelling adventures inspires my imagination, allowing me to bring my memories to life through paint.

Style/technique: Naturalism/loose realism. I paint landscapes, animal portraits, street scenes and abstracts in oils with acrylic underpaintings.

I fell in love with art in high school, completed my first painting in Grade 12. I rediscovered painting after losing my father to cancer in 2007. I have taken several oil and acrylic landscape painting workshops since 2010. I have been working as an artist for the last 3 years and a photographer for the last 2 years. I took art in high school but l am mainly self-taught and have worked under the mentorship of a few professional oil landscape artists from 2012 to the present. I have been commissioned for several paintings and I have sold several original paintings and prints. I have participated in several art shows and I am currently part of an awesome on-line gallery for local Calgary artists called FosterMak.com.
