Artist Bio/Artist Statement
Laura Erdman’s oil paintings aim to share the beauty she experiences in the world through visual poetry; fluid, colourful images of body and the natural world. Her images are an exploration of the human condition as an individual, as a body in place and as a part of the human collective.
Laura was born in 1980 in Lethbridge, Alberta where she attended and dropped out of the University of Lethbridge. Fourteen years later she dropped out of the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta where she has, among the branches of the river valley, found a feeling of home.
